I’m always interested in ideas that don’t have an exact English/American equivalent, one of my favorite from Japan is the idea of a “zaibatsu.” It’s like if Ford also owned the bank you got your car loan at, and the Wal-Mart Supercenter you get gas and food from. The USA doesn’t have them, but South Korea and now maybe India is toying with the idea. Read on to understand how this fits together, and get to the end for the tunes!
